No ... his suspension will cost him $8 million.

I guess he was trying to enhance his performance ...

What would happened if he had signed with the Yanks in the off season?

Then we would be reading about it every day of the 50-game suspension. Something like "Yankees Held Hostage, Day 43" ...

Glad the RedSox championships can have an astrek lol Not good for my fantasy team.

"Hideki Matsui struck out with the bases loaded and two outs in the 9th ... would Manny have made the difference?"

At this point I think you have to be living in a fantasy world to think a lot of the best players in the game weren't on some kind of growth hormone during that era. They were all trying to keep pace with each other. I hate it for the guys that are clean but I figured guys like Manny, Poppy etc were probably guilty too!

Good News: Manny's not pregnant

And if a lot of the best players were, how many of the marginal ones were trying to keep up in the same fashion?

Apparently the drug was a female fertility drug which is used to restart a regular cycle after steroids....

I don't know what to think. I am impressed with the way that Manny has handled the situation though.

He has dropped his appeal & has taken responsibility for his actions. Kudos to Manny on that.

First of all, I have really started to like the Dodgers. I think Joe Torre was not treated with respect the way he left the Yankees. Manny, too, can really hit a baseball. In fact, he has added vitality to the other players.

On the other hand, I just wonder if "taking responsibility for his actions" has more to do with not having more of this come up in the press. It seems like HCG would only be taken in a young, healthy male to help some of the side-efects of taking steriods. I am shocked not so much that players would not want a competitive edge, but that with close watching now that Manny would be in this position.

Man... when will this end? Can we nominate Strike3 or Scribe to be the new baseball commish? Heck... I'll take the job.
