Why do we value the political opinion of a pop singer and a beauty pageant contestant? Is there nothing more irrelevant?

 

The Obama's already chose a dog. What else would we talk about? Certainly, you aren't proposing that we talk about actual political topics?

Prejean chose to be in a competition where she is fully aware that she will be asked questions and have to give on the spot answers. This is far from the first time that someone has been asked a controversial question in this type of setting. Prejean certainly was a willing contestant.

 

Again, so that no one loses sight, I completely support Prejean's statement. She wasn't rude or condescending in her opinion. I didn't know Perez Hilton before, and I certainly don't feel like I will miss anything if I NEVER hear of him again.

 

I am with you, but I see a difference in that Ms. Cali and the audience KNEW that tough(?) questions could be asked and that truthful answers should be given, everyone knew that. No one bought a ticket to the Chicks concert expecting anything but music. The post comment, concert interview was after the fact, not the reason for it.

 

Life is full of people that agree and disagree with each others opinions, if I choose to support Prejean and not the chicks holds no underlieing conspiracy. Only that I share the same thoughts as one and not the other.

Not much else going on. Have a two-week hiatus before I leave for El Salvador & start work afterwards, if that's OK. But I do appreciate your concern for my hypocrisy.

As you said, she was ASKED, Maines just threw herself in. I honestly can't remember such a controversial question in this setting before but then again, I don't follow them.

I find it hard to believe that had Maines been "asked" and given her answer that those who lost their minds would have reacted any differently. The leadup is irrelevant. The reply, just like this girl's, is what people got upset about.

 

The rest is just rationalization.

Didn't she first lie about there being any photos? Followed up by "It happened when I was 17" to be followed up by the disclosure that there were more nude photos taken within the last year?

I don't believe she said first that there we no photos; I believe after the first photo surfaced, she said it was taken when she was 17, and there were "no nude photos." Then the TMZ photos were released, and she claims those were photo-shopped.

 

I believe that is correct, and I'd say I'm 75-25 on it.

 

In any event, I think it is still too early to say she lied, because the only potential lie would be if those TMZ photos are real.

Not singleing you out but I would love to hear those that blasted people for "mistreating" the Dixie Chicks for their offensive comments do the same thing to the morons that are villifying this young lady for her comments that weren't nearly as offensive in my mind.

 

Dixie chicks made fun of their country, thier audience and fans as well as thier president while the country was at war, IMO and most others a little different in believing marriage is between a man and a woman. She insulted no one and was respectful just expressed an opinion which was controversial.

Her story seems to change too often. Photshop was mentioned followed by photographers taking pictures of her when she wasnt ready and her breasts happened to be showing.

 

Secondly, would she be correct in saying she was not "nude" if she had been wearing a really, really skimpy thong? Semantics?

She's a fraud. In her latest photo's where she was 20.. she said the recent her chest was exposed was due to "wind" and the photographer not paying attention..... yeah.

She was fired today by The Donald. He said she was not honoring the contract that required her to do appearances. Instead, she was giving speeches re: Prop 8 .
