It’s sad that the gay rights movement and liberals have to crucify this young lady simply because she doesn’t support their stance on gay marriage. I suppose the fact that she is from California and expressed conservative values really enraged the liberals on the left coast.

One could argue that Perez Hilton was the best thing to happen to this woman. If she gives a standard, non-offensive answer, then no one would have ever heard from her again.

 

Instead, she gives an "offensive" answer and gets talked about on the net and news for a month. She made the talk-show circuit. Now people know her and her name. Perhaps she can land a book deal. Maybe even a small part in a Hollywood film. Pictures of her find their way onto the internet and people are intrigued, simply because she is the beauty queen contestant everyone is talking about.

 

Now be honest, does anyone know who she is without Hilton's question and blog?

I was wondering the same thing. She seemed to go out of her way to lessen the impact of her opinion.

Well, yeah, but isn't it all about maturity and so forth that the legal age of an adult was set at 18? If so, what is the true difference in maturity between a 17 year old and an 18 year old?

 

I just don't see a problem with this particular situation in the least.

I read the contract the other day but can't seem to find it now. I recall a clause about motion pictures, but not photographs. Additionally, I'm not sure these photos would qualify as topless.

Remember Miss California who stood up for traditional marriage and got 15 minutes plus of fame? Fame is not always good.

It's not the disagreement it's the way it has been expressed. Perez Hilton in particular has been very insulting and degrading in a very personal fashion. That crosses the line. Had someone very publically started calling Natalie Maines a big fat cow with a big mouth that would have crossed the line as well.

While that may the problem you have with it, my opinion is that the people that are upset are upset because of the fact that the person being "attacked" shares the same belief as they do. My guess is that they were blasting the Chicks when they expressed their opinion because they felt like they were being attacked - just like they feel like they are being attacked now for sharing Miss CA's view.
