If the Reds threaten in the last two innings, that spot is going to come up again. If Nix is making a bid for the LF job and being productive, why not let him face Reyes there since there is a chance he could be coming up again later where the game could be on the line.

 

Or just let Nix hit anyway ... McDonald hasn't done anything to show he's a threat in that situation.
