Its so hard to rank big men because they do different things. Here is my top 10 in no particular order:

Before the season is over, you will see Travis Purvis added to this list. He is the one that sit out all last season due to a tore ACL, he is Sophomore.

Good list although I've never seen 3 on the list play.(Gibbs, Geisler and St John) I consider Setty more of a wing man.

I hear he is very good, but having not played last year hurts him a bit as far as ranking players go.

I understand that, just wanted to get his name out there.

Purvis is a great kid and a nice ball player. It really hurt the Clark Co team last year by him not being in the lineup.:ylsuper:

I have seen him in person, but never seen him play. Hes an impressive looking athlete! :thumb:

Geisler was more productive than any of those other players you have ahead of him, averaging close to a double-double (11 ppg, 8 rpg). No way Robinson is the third best big man in NKY:

Pittman- 14 ppg, 7 rpg

Geisler- 11 ppg, 8 rpg

Earls- 10 ppg, 4 rpg

Stauffer- 9 ppg, 5 rpg

Robinson- 7 ppg, 4 rpg

Top 5, maybe...but not as high as you have him.

Geisler had much more help under the basket this past year. Next year he will have a much tougher time reaching those numbers with less talent (missing brother Matt Geisler) around him. I like Stauffer ahead of Geisler here also.

Yes O'Conner does play summer ball for Shining Stars- Coach Bundy - I believe?

Yes. I give the defensive edge to O'Conner. On offense, O'Conner probably has a better shooting touch from outside, and Stauffer's strength is inside. Stauffer has a nice upside and should get a lot better by the time he is a senior.

Agree. Both are great players.

I agree with you here. Stauffer will have a very strong year IMO.

As I stated, not much of an opportunity to see O'Connor, but it would be hard to believe the defensive edge goes to O'Connor. Maybe give the blocking aspect of defense to O'Connor. But, as far as guarding an opponent 1 on 1, straight up, Stauffer does this pretty well. He can play under the basketball and step out and defend. He has a good ability to step out to the perimeter to defend. I watched him shut down Marcellus Barkesdale in an AAU game (not in season play). Marcellus was playing inside and out on the perimeter and Stauffer held him to 6 points (maybe 8), and Barkesdale can flat score.

As for the shooting touch, Stauffer is pretty good there too. Sure he may need to work on that a bit, but I think most big could use work there. He has a pretty soft touch from 15' too.

Will Evans of LCA. He is 6' 6-7". Can shoot the 3, handle the ball, and is very physical down low. Evans has progressed a lot from his frosh year. He saw min., but since then has ben more confident.

Will Evans is playing with the Shining Star Sports-McFarland team this summer. He has been a super addition to a very talented roster.

I was told that he had a fantastic tournament last weekend at the Speice Run N' Slam event. The team finished in the final four of the tournament.

I would look for Will to have a nice senior season and garner a great deal of attention from the college coaches this summer.

Myles Potter from Tates Creek. He is a scrapper.
