This is from last week's thread: I'd love for somebody to come up with Rosales' minor league numbers. Quite frankly, I don't have the time.

FYI that took about 15 seconds.

^ Like I said in the last thread, we have been on the same page way to much lately.

Give it up CC.

Even though we both know Gonzo and Edwin both stink, LRCW doesn't agree and that flat out just makes us wrong.

:cry::cry: This is a message board UKMustangFan. It's here so we can debate different topics and situations. Most post are opinions, and have no definite right or wrong answer. You say I'm wrong, and I say I disagree. I'm not going to cry about it though.

All of these post on the subject, and I've yet to see either you or CC come up with a reponse about E-5's laziness. I guess you guys don't have a problem with that.

Thanks, and that answer tells me all I need to know. No sense aruging anymore with you.

Forgive me if I don't blame a guy for not giving his all every single play. I assume at your job you don't take time from doing whatever type work you do, to slack a little bit and talk with a co-worker about something completely unrelated to work, or that you don't ever take little breaks at work.

Not really, but I'm sure you really believe that.

Everyone is lazy at their job from time to time. It happens.

Yes you do.

Actually, I really don't. Shouldn't be on here at all the next two weeks, but can't resist.

I am not a big Edwin fan at all. I hate the fact that he's lazy, and I would bench him (and Phillips) when they don't run out a ground ball, pop up, or whatever it is. I can live with K's & lack of production if they run everything out. I agree that Edwin's act is tiresome & his play is uninspired.

My problem with your argument is that you're willing to give Rosales a shot for Edwin (which I don't have a problem with), but you belittled the idea of putting Janish in for Gonzalez. Are you in favor of pulling Edwin strictly based on his lack of intensity?

Horrible argument...

Edwin has plenty of time in between pitches & in the dugout to shoot the (crap) with his buddies (or co-workers). There's absolutely no excuse for him not giving 100% each play. Unfortunately, these types of attitudes have existed long before I was around & will continue to exist long after I'm gone.

When your stinking up the place like EE is, you can at least hustle. It takes very little talent, if any at all to hustle. And it's not only EE, BP is another. All I would like to see is these guys get a day or two on the pine. Honestly, it turns my stomach that Dusty lets these guys jog to first base. Yes it's early, but BP is on his way to leading this Team in GIDP, again. Why is this? It's not because he's slow, it's because he gets ticked because he's not hitting the gaps, or hitting it out of the ball park. Not a fan of the Cubs, or Milton Bradly, but when Lou yanked him a couple weeks ago for lack of hustle, I became an even bigger Lou fan.

When I brought up the possibility of Janish playing over Gonzalex, it was belittled because Janish "didn't get through the minors quick enough" & Janish "had already proven that he was not a capable MLB hitter throughout his minor league career." The quotes may not be exact, but you catch the drift.
The first quote is a bit of a misrepresentation of what I said. The second quote, whether you agree with it or not, is an accurate statement.

Yet you want to give Rosales, a guy who has had even less MLB success than Janish, a shot to play everyday?
I'm not advocating Rosales playing everyday, but neither hitter has had anything resembling success in the majors. Rosales is a .207 hitter in 29 at-bats. Janish is hitting .211 in 90 at-bats.

However, Rosales has proven much more as a hitter on the minor league level than Janish.
