Lost 8 to 6. I'll let TOG give details as I'm sure he'll have plenty to say, but these very well could have been and should have been a sweep with three wins, not just two big ones. First two innings CCH had more errors than theyve had all season I believe. Gave up four runs, unearned behind Nutini, who deserved better defense as he pitched very well. Still almost pulled it out though! St. X took advantage of the mistakes.

 

I feel VERY secure in our top three pitchers, and Schlagbaum [did a very nice job closing out the Apollo game].

Oh and I forgot to say, these were three GREAT games to watch and it's nice to see CovCath show they deserve to be and are one of the best teams in the state at this point.

CCH also capitalized on a pop up lost in the sun and a phantom HBP in the 5th which was initially called a strike by the umpire(I don't think it hit the batter...but if it did it was in the strike zone and should have been strike 3).

If it hit the batter it is a dead ball. It does not matter where the catcher catches it.
