April 20, 200917 yr My husband and I had our first date at the Sweet 16 State tourney in Louisville.....39 years ago. I agree on finding out their interests and plan something around that. You sound like a pretty good date, too bad 39 years ago I was only 3 years away from being a reality.

We both were also teachers. So our love for sports and teaching has worked great for us. Our dates now consists of me fixing a big supper...right before a game is coming on TV....:lol:

April 21, 200917 yr I have been divorced for over three years now and I have come up with my own philosophy on dating. 1. first date, meet for drinks (coffee or whatever). If you're meeting her for the first time and there is no connection, it's quickly over. 2. Movie is a terrible date when you don't know the person. You spend 90 plus minutes of not talking. I want a date where I can have interaction, see her personality. 3. I like outdoor activities during the warm weather, followed up with dining out somewhere that has a patio...
April 21, 200917 yr Me and my wife go to sporting events for dates. Our first valentines day as a married couple was spent at the NBA All Star Weekend. Our first actual date was dinner and movie though. Thats usually how it goes for me.
