How much did yours cost?

$679 in the all black, has a 19 round capacity. It's my CCDW weapon and I keep hydrashocks in it for the simple reason, FAR less likely for someone else to be injured by an exiting bullet. My home defense weapon of choice is my mossberg 500 tactical 12 gauge:thumb:

Sorry to get off topic, but WOODSRIDER, I love your avatar.

I suggest you look into the Springfield XDM's. I have the 9mm version and 3 of my friends that all owened Glocks shot my XDM, they all traded in there Glocks for the XDM, smoothest shooting handgun I've ever shot

I agree. I bought the Springfield XD .45 Compact a few months ago and it has been the best gun I've ever had. Very smooth and no jams.

Well your looking at the Glock 17 and the Glock 19 for a 9mm. I have fired both and I own the 19th. I choose the 19 because it is more compact if your going to conceal.

If it was up to me I'd just carry a shot gun.:D

I would opt for an AR15.

FN FAL if I had the choice.

Well, I have a TZ Italian made 9mm which I love and I carry on me when I need to conceal my weapon (I have my CCDW permit) because it is very easy to conceal. I also have a Glock 40 cal model 22 which I love and keep it on the table next to my recliner ( I want to get the baby glock 40 cal I think it is the model 23 and use it for an ankle gun). I also have a 12 gauge pump loaded with DOO buckshot magnum which I keep next to my bed. As a former US Marine I opted to buy a M-4 which I have to say is my favorite weapon and I have a little .22 cal pistol 6 shot that I keep in the kitchen for the just in case I am in the kitchen scenario. Of course I have a 243 and 270 both remington for the deer hunting thing and I have a remington 740 pump for squirrels and rabbits and a couple of 22 riffles for those aggrivating type critters. I am now looking to buy a 45 cal. pistol and may checkout that Springfield XDM it sounds interesting. I think finding a gun(s) that suits you and fits your need(s) is something you will need to do on your own. My suggestion is fire as many different types of weapons as you possibly can before you make a decision and then go with the one you like the best. My problem is I haven't found too many that I don't like!

I own a 27 with Pierce Grip extensions loaded with PMC Starfires for CC. I hated the feel because its so small until I added the extensions.

My advice is go handle any make and caliber you think you want, find one that fits/feels good in your hand and buy that one. Then shoot it as much as you can with Wallmart(Winchester White Box) ammo and then shoot at least 50 rounds a year with what loads you are going to carry in it for personal protection.

You might want to look into a 10mm.

Same here, tax returns= new gun, tuition reimbursement next month = new gun. I'm just going to start asking for gift cards to the local gun shop.

You'd have to agree that there's not more of a scarey sound for criminal than the pump of a Remington 870 or Mossberg 500 :D (aside from the blast it makes):ylsuper:

I am with you on that one. By the way I have a buddy who has like a zillion weapons and the cream of the crop is a Thompson full auto jsut like the Al capone days and man that thing is beautiful. he has around 30 shotguns, 75 diferent types of rifles, almost 200 pistols. He has every gun that he has ever had, the man just won't get rid of any of them. He still has the 1st BB gun his dad baught him when he was like 5 years old. Oh yea, and he has 5 muzzle loaders! He is like 38 years old and has never been married so he spends all of his money on guns and hunting. I think he may be smarter than most of us! :D
