Anyone ever been to Fenway?

Featured Replies

I went last season and it was awesome.

I took my son up to Yankee stadium last year and it was a great experience for two baseball nuts. We are either going to Boston or the New Yankee stadium sometime this year. It's hard to schedule when you figure in his baseball and football seasons.

Just thought of what the dome in Montreal was called. Olympic Stadium.

That was driving me nuts.

I've been there a couple of times. Back in 1986 before the renovations and right after they added the Monster Seats. Great place to watch a baseball game.

Going to Fenway is on my Bucket List.

Ive been there 1 time each of the last 3 years. It was AMAZING! It has been the experience of my life so far. When all the drunks start singing Sweet Caroline, you are guaranteed to get a good life. There is just so much history that you just feel like you are in the past when you are there...at least I was.

I went there during the opening series the year they first won the WS. The atmosphere is incredible. I've been to a handful of parks and Fenway tops the passion meter, I'm not a big baseball guy but just being around all that excitement gets you caught up in it.

ColonelCrazy, I'm not saying you didn't have your experience, but my group walked into Fenway from about 3 miles out and at no time did I see or experience anything to make me feel like the area was less than safe. Most of it was actually upscale/nice gentrified urban areas.

#5 My freinds and I have been visiting a ballpark every year as a four day vacation and it is a ton of fun. We started with Boston and have done Atlanta, Milwaukee, Baltimore, and a spring training for the Cubs in Arizona. If you make that quest I suggest doing it with a group of buddies, it is a lot of fun.

I didn't feel unsafe, either. But, somebody came up to us and basically told us that we didn't want to spend any more time there than we had to. We were somewhat surprised, but in a situation like that you don't ask too many questions.

I love the group ballpark trips! :thumb:

I went this past saturday to watch them play the Orioles. It is an amazing feeling to be in that ball park. I sat behind the plate about 20 rows up. We were in the old seats, and my legs were cramped up because I am quite tall. But the experience was great. Not a seat in the house was open, made me feel like I was watching an old time game. And the fact that they won made it better!

I've been to Fenway. It is hands down my favorite MLB Park. I rank it 1, Wrigley 2, Yankee Stadium 3, and Camden Yard 4th.
