Liggins: "Gone..." if Gillispie Stayed

Featured Replies

I think there were quite a few Cats fans that were down on Liggins and/or Galloway at some point in the season, and I always felt it was unwarranted. You can tell that both obviously have the athletic ability to be two of the best on the squad, BCG just wasn't the guy to get them there, IMO.

I think you are partially right on this, but I believe there was a lot more of us wanting them to get more playing time. I think we are seeing/hearing now that Liggins and Galloway just did not get along with BCG. I believe Porter being more mature and disciplined was doing exactly what BCG was asking from him. That in my opinion is why Porter was the starting PG.

He told Vaught a month ago that he wasn't going to leave, regardless...

Two things....one...this is great news for Liggins and Cats' fans...two....BCG wasn't what many of you thought he was.

Sounds like another coach in the state...

I hope he flourishes in this offense. Too good a talent not to.

I still wonder how ALL of this bad stuff goes on, and the "sports journalists" do not report it.

The only daylight that I have heard about these allegations, are on message boards? What has really been proven or reported. If all is true then Cutler and his cronies, let us all down.

Burning bridges is an easy path to unemployment for sports journalists.

A lot of people questioned Krag's credentials when he got hired. Still the same questions exist....problem is, he's a great person.

Liggins was a 5-star, per rivals.com, and listed as the #5 overall player in the nation. At 6'5 or 6'6, to be a guard, he has Tremendous ability. Calipari wanted him in Memphis but Liggins choose UK over Memphis. He will be a Big time Player next year!

Sounds like him and Calipari know each other pretty well?

Coming out of high school he was #5 and a 5-star, that has been changed after his poor freshman season!:thumb:

Regardless of how he did with BCG, Coach Cal. and Liggins already have great chemistry and I'm looking foward to next season.

Accoding to what site? Highest I remember seeing Liggins ranked last season was #21 at some point by Rivals and I kept up with his recruitment for almost the entire year leading up to his commitment.

GT can answer this definitively but I'm pretty sure Rivals doesn't change their rankings once the season has started.

I don't believe that to be true...
