Greg Paulus to Michigan?

Featured Replies

I never understood how someone could pull for two different teams in any sport...Doesn't make sense.

Let me try to explain. I have always been a UK basketball and football fan. However when UK wasn't very good in football I was big Bear Bryant and Alabama football fan. I guess you just like to see teams you pull for be good.

I was at Michigan's Spring game last Saturday. Tate Forcier looked very good at quarterback and, in my opinion, Paulus will be trying out for a backup spot. With Threet transferring out and Sheridan breaking his leg in spring practice, Michigan is thin at quarterback.

By the way, Forcier graduated high school in December and enrolled at UM in January. He has gotten up to speed very quickly. I have talked to Coach Rodriguez several times in the past few months and I think he has Michigan on the right track.

Paulus will only have one year of eligibility. I highly doubt he uses it for a back up role. If RR brings him in he's probably gonna play or at least i'm sure he will be told that. I obviously believe this is a bad move for UM but i'm not a UM fan.

Of course he was told that he will be able to compete for the starting spot. Competition is good at every position and if he can win the sport, then good for him. Personally, I don't see him beating out Forcier

^ My guess is someone realized it wasn't good politics for the recruits they have on board.

I feel your joy. To add to the great news, Michigan just recieved a verbal commitment from one of the top players in Florida in safty Marvin Robinson.

M Rob was an expected but great pick-up. Kid is a stud and his offer sheet proves that. Is jason Forcier a legit back-up possibility? For those who don't know Jason was a Michigan commit then transferred when he realized he would be backing up Henne for his entire carrer. He then transferred to stanford.

I don't think Jason is a possibilty as a player, but I think it would be a good idea for him to come and become a graduate assistant. It would would be a good thing for Tate to have his brother by his side.

Michigan is no longer interested.
