Bracken coaching changes again!

You must be out of state, no sun here and not a lot of people seem to be working:confused:

An attempt at humor. :idunno:

90% of my neighbors went to work. The other 10% are retired. And no, the sun wasn't up today.

Here is what the Bracken Co. faithful need to understand, you hire the best person for the job, period. If that person is from Brooksville and/or has ties to the school that is great. But, chances are, in a town that is as small as Brooksville, that person simply does not exist. Settling on a coach just because they have ties would be a mistake.

My observation of the situation is that the previous coach (Fite) never felt accepted and it is obvious the new coach was not as well.

To my knowledge, there has been no resignation to date.

There will be no resignation, as Donald Trump says, " YOUR FIRED".. I can tell you this, Bracken Co has No Basketball Coach at this time Boys Varsity that is...

There are qualified candidates inside and outside the school system( that live close).

Then if the man has been fired, why is he still working in the school system? Your statement above makes Trump look really bad, cause when that man fires you, you are stripped of the job on the spot.

All this talk about who is qualified, whether that be a person internally or externally really shouldn't be the concern at this point for the folks in Bracken County. The main issue to resolve and take a look at is the fact that some of these student/athletes will be playing for their 3rd coach in as many years. Pretty sad if you ask me. If you ask me, a few people need to take a long look at themeselves in the mirror as their is no way this is right for the kids. A real injustice to the kids, cause all they want to do is play ball and win, and if you have no consistency as your leader, there is no room for gelling and never any chemistry. These kids don't deserve what has happened to them and if I were a parent I would be knocking on someones door asking a bunch of questions. PK on the girls side paid his dues as a longtime assistant and promoting him into the head coach position was a solid move for not only himself but also for the girls at Bracken.

What would be nice for BC is the second coming of Mac Whitaker, someone that consumes a program from 2nd/3rd grade on up, sets coaches in place in those grades, helps in the coaching and development from youth on up, is successful and gets the respect of everyone in the community and LIVES IN THE COMMUNITY, not in apartments in Maysville or counties in another region, some of the candidates meet some of this criteria, but BC needs that and then some this time around.

I agree with everything, except for part in bold. IMO I think the kids should be able to enjoy their success and not intimidated into it.

Shouldnt make him look bad, He said the guy was fired as COACH,

If you're fired as a coach, then that does not mean that you don't go to school the next day. He is still an employee until the end of the district fiscal year. They could techinically require him to have spring weightlifting or June scrimmages.

You are correct, But as a basketball Expert that I am. He is "NOT" the coach. and will have nothing to do with the Ball program. We can say this and that, But thats the FACTS or the BEARFACTS:walk::banana:

He is the coach, as far as I know there hasn't been a resignation. Do you have his paperwork?

When I said there were qualified candidates in the system and close by, I was referring to people who would be providing stability as they have been around for several years.

Do you think that the addition of football will have an adverse affect on the basletball program?
