Just heard that ESPN 950? out of Philly is reporting that the Giants will trade a 1st and 5th for Braylon Edwards. Not sure how legit this rumor is but I've been hearing rumors of Edwards to the Giants for a while.

 

Not sure how true it is...they said it will happen tomorrow. So we won't have to wait long to see if they are right.

I've said all along I really thought this trade would happen. He really wants to be there. They were close once with a deal on the table but S. Smith was the sticking point. The G Men wanted to throw in Manningham or Hixon I think it was. The Browns wanted Smith.

They really need him after losing Plax. He drops a lot of balls but is a threat. The Browns will be stripped down to absolutly ZERO weapons on offense!

Braylon Edwards is one of the most talented WR in the league.

 

But I was not impressed with how he worked or played in Cleveland. Maybe a change of scenery would do him well.

I think Seattle will take Sanchez if they don't then they might take Crabtree. I'll be really suprised if Oakland doesn't take Crabtree though unless somebody trades up.

I still think Ocho Cinco is going to the Raiders..

I like the move considering the G-Men have 2 seconds anyway, so they will get a couple of solid players early in the draft. I love Braylon Edwards; I root for Michigan football and I loved him there and I think he will do well with Eli and a running game to support him.

 

This is a solid move for the Browns as well; they need an overhaul and they have some serious opportunity to do that in this draft with multiple picks in multiple rounds if this deal is a reality.

I don't want to get my hopes up for this trade. I'd love to see it happen (without Smith or Hixon included) but I don't think it will. I think this is just a rumor. I hope you are right, and I am wrong.

I've been watching the NFL Network (they usually break stuff pretty quick) and haven't heard anything yet. Winslow said Braylon really wants to be a Giant and they want him. Cleve is bad!

Everything that I have heard is that its a possibility and that's it. Not too much other than that. A lot of these rumors will go around leading up to the draft but it would be a great move for the Giants. Braylon would be that "go to" guy Eli needs to have. He's a big receiver with game breaking abilities. (If he catches the ball)

I can't believe the Browns would leave their franchise QB with nothing to work with. I'd make this deal in a heartbeat if I were the Giants...not so much if I were the Browns.

 

Did they learn nothing from Tim Couch's tenure? You can't draft a franchise QB and then strip the offense of skill players and expect him or the team to succeed.

 

Suppose this deal happens...who on earth will Quinn be throwing to? Winslow in Tampa. Edwards in NY. Stallworth in jail. ????????

 

I hope Jamal Lewis has worked on his hands...and Josh Cribbs is ready to step up.

I'm not hearing that the Giants have offers on the table for Anquan Boldin and Braylon Edwards. If they get neither of those players they will attempt to move up in the draft for a wide receiver.

More reports are surfacing saying that Braylon Edwards to the Giants might happen.

 

First: Yahoo Sports says they expect the Giants to land Braylon Edwards

 

Also: Giants beat writer Ralph Vacchiano says the Giants are back in the hunt for Braylon Edwards.

 

Hope this gets done before draft day.
