Harang up to 111 pitches now.

The Reds are lucky to only be down 1-0...

Defense very poor last inning.

Good opening start for Harang. Home plate umpire Tim Welke not giving either pitcher the corners today.

Micah Owings to pinch hit for Harang.

Wow. Nice statement to some of your bench players . . . .

Dusty only let him go 114 pitches on opening day. I guess he plans on bringing him back on Wednesday.

114 pitches on first day of season in winter weather for a guy who had arm issues last year. Nice.

And then for your first pinch-hitter of the season, use a pitcher. Solid.

Santana is at 86 pitches right now. If the Reds can get him up over 100 or so, they could have 3 innings to try and score on the Mets bullpen. Can't let it get much worse than 1-0 though.

Heck, Owings is a better hitter than half the bench.
