I don't think I will ever understand the fascination with Miley Cyrus. I thought her performance tonight was horrible. In fact, I have yet to see a performance by her that would warrant all of the fame she has. Just don't get it at all...:idunno:

Overall I thought that it was a pretty good awards show, I enjoyed John Rich's song about what is going on with our law makers and politicians/wall street pin heads (or what they are not doing). I also enjoyed plenty of others such as George Straight , Reba, Carrie Underwood just to name a few. Trace Adkins peformance with the West point choir and the wounded veteran was awesome, imo a high point of the show.

I have to say that I just cannot see what is all so great about Taylor Swift :idunno:, the girl writes songs about her high school boyfriends like any of us gives a crap and I really don' think that she can sing at all, imo she is so overrated it is laughable.

It was nice to see Carrie Underwood break the male-entertainer of the year streak. It's apparently been a while since a woman's even been nominated, so that made her win even more exciting!! Plus, she always seems so humble and genuine. That had me pulling for her too.

Seriously, great song and I am glad the song won.

I enjoy Taylor Swift's music, and think it's fun. But her voice is not very good at all and she isn't that cute. So sometimes it IS kind of laughable how idolized she is. Carrie Underwood on the other hand is the TOTAL package.

I agree that Taylor Swift cannot sing well live. She is definitely a studio artist that is "dubbed" a lot. I disagree with you in regards to her song writing ability. I believe this to be her strongest asset. She may learn to sing live in the future, but for now we'll just have to enjoy this very talented song writer and enjoy the show. Besides, I'd much rather listen to her in comparison to Miley Cyrus.
