Vorbeck might be a good tightend as well. Duncum did not play last year and I doubt he will play this season either from all indications. Is the Igo kid playing football this season?

Mitchell will stay with it he will play.I see him being the QB its just going to take sometime but I alsothink he could play tightend or linebacker on d.

Mitchell is an athlete and will do good no matter where he plays. He could play tightend. If they move Manns to tackle and Taylor to QB, then Mitchell would make a dandy tightend. He can catch, run, and block(we saw that against Newport Catholic last year). He can also play QB. If Taylor played QB they could put in the option. I would say that Mitchell will play defense also.

Matt Taylor is a great athlete and could easily run the QB position. That would be a positive move considering Smith is out for the season more or less IMO. I heard that Manns was moving to Tackle and Howington was getting some reps at Tightend? Any truth to these rumors as well? At 270 plus Manns could be a force on the lines for the Hounds no doubt.

 

I know that Aaron is up to 270 and getting much stronger. But I would hesitate to lose him as a big target with soft hands. In Corbin's offense the TE still needs to be a solid blocker, and Manns improved on that aspect of his game all season last year. In college, you could see Manns move to tackle, much like UK did with Zip Duncan, but for now, I would like to have him as a TE.

Good. I would keep him there. Big target, soft hands. With the formations Corbin often uses in their power game, he was an effective blocker by the end of the season. Only caught 4 balls last year, but averaged over 15 ypc. I would use him in the passing game as well as run blocking. The the backs Corbin has, using Manns in the passing game could really open up some running lanes even more. They did split him out a lot last year, but normally threw to him pretty much when he was in tight. At TE, he can be effective as a run blocker and a receiver. I would get all the use out of this young man that I could!!
