I dont think Coach P was sending any messages or punishing Caleb, he just felt that he was doing what he needed to do in order to continue winning. He doesnt like to change what is working. There are plenty of players (and their parents) who felt like they should have gotten more playing time but after reflecting upon the season, things went pretty well at 29-4. Without players like Caleb and several others, the Team would not have captured the Region Crown and played in Rupp. I hope Caleb and the others who wanted more PT last year, choose to look forward and not backwards and return to play next season. The team definitely needs Caleb and others to shine next season in order to repeat as the Region Champs.

Anyone heard they may move Taylor to QB. Just Rumor anyone know.

Matt Taylor is a great athlete and could easily run the QB position. That would be a positive move considering Smith is out for the season more or less IMO. I heard that Manns was moving to Tackle and Howington was getting some reps at Tightend? Any truth to these rumors as well? At 270 plus Manns could be a force on the lines for the Hounds no doubt.

I heard that Coach Garmon may also help out some he is a very good db and special teams coach.

Those two guys would be great additions to the staff. Garmon and Mouser are well liked by the kids and might pull a few more out for football. They both have good personalities and kids want to play for them. I would give that a big thumbs up. Who were the middle school tightends the last three years or so. I recall a couple who were good blockers and one who caught the ball well during the 7th grade season, but was rarely used during the 8th grade season. The 7th grade coaches at CMS do a super job, those guys know how to motivate kids and teach them the game of football.

West an Duncum were good blockers and caught the ball well Metzger played there but had hard time catching it. I think Coach Jackson does a good job in putting together a staff. I think its important teaching fundamentals at that level and seeing that the kids have fun with out leaving one out you never know when a kid may blossom down the road. I think there is to many not moving on to the high school level and is missing out. I guess its just different than it used to be.

Is Jody going to be coaching next year I talked to him during baseball and he said that he didn't think that he was going to but he could have changed his mind.

That was just a name I have heard being mentioned. Not sure if Jody wants to do it or not.

 

Vorbeck might be a good tightend as well. Duncum did not play last year and I doubt he will play this season either from all indications. Is the Igo kid playing football this season?

Yeah just by talking to him during baseball he didn't sound like that he wanted to. He said that he enjoyed refereeing on friday nights.
