Bardo ran 4.56 at the Ohio State camp, 4.57 at the Western Kentucky camp and 4.57 at Northwestern's camp.

That's dang fast for someone 6'4". I didn't realize he was that fast in the 40. I knew he had speed in longer events (didn't he anchor Highlands state championship 4x400 team?). I really think this kid is going to burst onto the Ky High School football scene this year. He has great talent but will have the luxury of knowing that the weight of the team's success is not on his shoulders with Fennell and Collinsworth at running back and with a very good O line in front of him. Plus with receivers like Roller and Welz at tight end and Buten, Hogue, Gold and Drennen at the wide receiver positions, they'll really be able to stretch the field. I'd really, really hate to be the Defensive Coordinator of Highlands opponents this Fall. As raiderbird pointed out, Highlands will have so many offensive weapons, its ridiculous.

Bardo has been clocked as fast as 4.54 but that was during a practice run.

Highlands still has a few holes to fill and I'm sure the coaches will fill the gaps because there is plenty of talent on the team. I think the O-Line will be one of the best Highlands has ever had with Schlosser, Grubbs, Combs, Roller, Welz, Dierig, Hahn, Schneider, Meyers, Beck. As I mentioned they have a lot to choose from and I'm sure I forgot a name or two. The receivers and running backs are a talented group as well. There is no I in team!!!

Are there any 40 times posted for the receivers in bold? Thanks!

Unless they have gone to camps, they don't have 40 times as Mueller doesn't run 40's for time. I'll see what I can find out.

Dale don't need no stinkin' 40 times. He just knows "they're fast!"

NCBIRD, would that make him the fastest guy on the team?

CCH OT Kevin Connaughton has picked up an offer from the Air Force Academy.

THAT is a very nice offer!! You can retire in 20 years from the Air Force and draw $7,000 a month pension (today's dollars).
