That's not a problem.

Don't mind taking pop shots from you guys when I agree with someone's posts.

It's becoming the norm. It's only high school basketball an there are a whole lot more things to worry about at the present time, so keep'em coming.

And as for your comment spindoc, there is no obsession about Elliott County. They were a good team from the mountains that had a good Final Four run in both the state and All A.

Just givin' you a bit of grief. No more, No Les.:D

Yea, I was the one taking the pop shot.

Like I said, that's no problem, just stated my opinion, and I'm sorry that Elliott couldn't get past the semi-finals of either the Class A or Sweet Sixteen. Like I said, they were a good team that had a good run, but fell a little short of what they wanted to accomplish.

As did everyone else, but Holmes.

Man, you hit that on the button.

But the others did it with a bit less fanfare.

1. Holmes

2. Central

3. Eastern

4. Elliott County

5. Shelby Valley

6. West Jessamine

7. Lexington Catholic

8. Mason County

9. Anderson County

10. Corbin

For some reason, I simply missed Christian County the first time. Make them 8, Mason County 9 and Anderson County 10.

They had a great run all year long, not only in the Final Four. They proved all year long that they were a top 5 team. This Elliott County team beat Christian County last year I believe, maybe the year before. They returned about the same players from both teams. No team was going to give Elliott County much problems with the press, if Ethan Faulkner was in the game. You will see that next year at NKU, too.

Congratulations, Les this is one of your few posts that wasn't a "good post to someone else" by you. :dancingpa

I'm not convinced. I think you can make a case for five teams to be ranked above them ... Holmes, Scott County, Jeffersontown and Eastern, maybe others.

Yes, last year, when Christian County was in the midst of a 3-12 start. This year's team was clearly much better.

No team was going to give Elliott County much problems with the press, if Ethan Faulkner was in the game.
We may just disagree on that.

Great post Westsider .... LOL. Wish I could say the same about yours The Hook 2009.

As being a top five team in the state for Elliott ... Maybe, maybe not. They didn't even make the finals of either the All A or Sweet 16. It was a nice little story this season, but the glass slipper didn't fit. Heck, I was more impressed with West Jessamine's storybook run. Take nothing away from Elliott, they were a good team that had a nice little run, but ran into the big boys of the state (Holmes) and didn't have answer for the Dawgs. I really like the Faulkner kid, he was a class-act.
