Your Final State rankings

Another back handed slap at EC as I cannot agree with Chrisitan Co at all. I was really not impressed with them. Holmes kept them in the game way to long by slowing the ball down. Each time Holmes stepped up the tempo they opened a double digit lead. CHristian Co had a lot of athletes but not enough basketball players to go along with it. I would have put them 9 or 10 at best.

While I disagree with westsider (on an everyday basis ) I don't see how its a back handed slap at EC. Elliott Co. is very good, but so is Christian Co.

Wow! West Jessamine makes it to the final 4 of the state tourney... gets beat by 5 points to Central and can't get in some of your top 10 teams in the state.:ohbrother:

They had a fortunate draw ... neither of the two teams they beat, Hazard and Grayson County, were in the top 20 at the end of the regular season.

I'll have to agree with Westsider on this one. IMO had WJ been in the other bracket they would ave been done after game 2 & never seen Saturday morning. Much like Hazard last year.

5. Mason
How do the Royals merit a top-5 ranking? They got thumped by Elliott late in the year, then lost to Shelby Valley in the Sweet 16.

I was thinking the same thing. No way Mason Co should be mentioned in the top 5 or in front of Shelby Valley for that matter.

Another back handed slap at EC

Not everything is a back-hand to Elliott, the title of the thread is YOUR final state rankings.

The reason I have them in front of Shelby Valley is because I think Mason is a better team. I mean the 2 sophmores Pawsat and Setty each only had 2 points, Pawsat was 0-0 from the field, so I think if there were a rematch between the 2 teams, Mason would win. But that's just my opinion.

At the end of the season though there are no rematches. MC didn't take care of business when they had the opportunity which make Shelby Valley the better team. Mason Co also lost to Lexcath as well...
