Best performances of the Sweet 16

Featured Replies

Russ Middleton had 6 three's in their game against Shelby Valley.

:thumb: I'm glad somebody brought that up. Great performance by the kid.

Robinson's play at the point for Central. You could make a case for him as tourney MVP.

He was outstanding and very entertaining to watch.

The highlight of the tourney for me was Central's band and dance team. Except for EC winning 2 games.

:thumb: I was pulling for Central the entire time for this very reason.

Josh Crawford from Corbin and his 33 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists would be my personal favorite. If the other Hounds would have been on their game I would have liked Corbin's chances to advance. Crawford was a manchild out there and no one on the floor could contain him or keep him from getting to the rim. I thought for sure he would get a Sportsmanship award or some other recognition for his play.

I would have to add Ferguson's 20 points on Anderson County in the first half!!!

Bowling Green giving LexCath all the wanted in their OT loss was the greatest moment for me being a Bowling Green alum. The feeling of almost winning that game was amazing and one I'll never forget even though we came up short.

Tevin Barksdale, all 5'10" taking to LexCath all day. Had he gotten the ball at the end of regulation, then my Purples would have beaten LexCath.

Jonathon Ferguson in the 2nd quarter against Anderson County was fun to watch.

Homes-Central finale was the best and most fitting way to call it a season.

Watching Ethan Faulkner run the point.

Watching Rico Johnson be the MVP that he was.

Brandon Housely's dunk-and-1 over some poor kid from Christian County.

Evan Faulkner's fake pass and layup versus Anderson County.

Holmes' D completely shutting down Vee Sanford Friday night.

Watching big Tim Patterson cry after fouling out last night. I still get amazed when I see guys that big shed tears. It truly humanizes the moment.

Watching the little boy in the pink shirt stand up and imitate the dances that the Central dancers were doing. The fan cam should have put the kid on the screen. The Central dancers saw him and waved to him. My wife is still talking about that little kid who had a great time dancing.

Ethan Faulkner had a great tournament and meens so much to that team. I set behind there bench for all three games and both the faulkners do more coaching and encouraging than their actual coach. Every time out and quarter they would coach and "pump up" the rest of the team. As well as there sportsmanship, every foul they would just raise their hand and never complain even on that bogus intentional foul Ethan got. Great team and great career, best of luck in college!!!

You must mean in the 1st quarter because he only got 4 attempts in second and one of them was off an offensive reb!! He hit two of the four

Central's coach had some pretty animated performances all week long! He really got into it when he was explaining something...

All joking aside, the guy did a great job with his team. He had those guys switching defenses nearly every possession and they never missed a beat.

I believe that Rico Johnson scored Holmes first 9 points against Elliot when Holmes offense came out slow.... I think that is notable...

You are so right. I don't know how I forgot about him in my original post. :idunno:

How about Holmes' 5 dunks and I believe 16-2 run in less than a 3 minute span in the 4th quarter against Lexcath to put them away? That was pretty impressive the way they turned it on after LC closed to within 10.

I think both of these are Pittman I took them from the upper section.....The one pic is on a rebound dunk that he missed but geeez he has some kind of jumping ability.

Josh Crawford scored the most points by an individual in the whole tournement and still wasn't on the All-Tournement team!
