Qryche11 Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Lets hear from everyone around the state. I remember a guy named Frank Jacobs from NCC back in the 80's that could tattoo balls off the hill. Someone told me he put one on Carothers road once from up there. Other ball mashers I played against were Chuck Spenlau from Holmes, Scott Falbush/Highlands, Larry Workman/Dayton.
KY Thorobred Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Shon Walker Harrison County High Class of 1992 29 HRs his senior year

tdouth Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Tracy Driver, went on to play A or AA for bigs. Also Shelby Co. won state tourney in 1978.
af veteran Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 (edited) I saw Frank Jacobs of NCC hit Newport high school on one bounce. That was the longest high school homerun that I ever seen! Edited March 15, 2009 by Ram Rule 13
stick1 Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 Shawn Walker is probably the best I have ever seen. Their summer league team in Morehead was amazing. He and a few other guys came home with one of my best friends and stayed at the house. Deion Newby+Brad Allison were also on that team from Harrison. Jaun Thomas probably hit the longest HR's I've seen from Ashland. Tucker Howard from Paintsville hit some bombs. Shawn Hill + Timmy Hayes were probably the two best from Lawrence Co.

jahearme Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 PORCH..... I bet I saw 20 of his 29 HR's that season and they would have been out of ANY ballpark in the state of KY!
BIGDAWG11 Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 Shelby Co. won it in 1979. I played against them. We lost 5-3 in semi-finals.
friedtaters Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 Mike Harris could make it sizzle for Tates Creek in the 80's.
