March 14, 200917 yr I really loved "M.A.S.H." but how could any compare with "The Andy Griffith Show", imo the greatest sitcom ever! M.A.S.H. would be on my list as one of the best ever as well.
March 14, 200917 yr Absolutely no comparsion. Andy Griffith is the KING of TV shows imo. I could watch that show anytime...except for the ones made after Barney left. Yeah, the ones in color imo weren't near as good as the early ones. Some of those were still better than some of the ones on today though.
March 15, 200917 yr Most definitely. M*A*S*H was the greatest show ever. Andy Griffith, while a darned good show, gets a little bit too much credit because a lot of rural folks liken it to their own small-town experiences from a bygone era. Couldn't have said it better myself! :thumb:
March 17, 200917 yr Think I could give all of you a little FYI....if you notice on episodes with Radar, notice his left hand he is always holding something or puts it in his coat pocket, it's deformed(birth defect).
March 18, 200917 yr M*A*S*H By far is my Favorite. I own the complete collection and watch them frequently. Andy Griffith is great in its own right. They are two different shows. I own Most of the Andy Griffith series. When Barney left AG, and the color episodes were not very good, huh, huh, huh, huh... I do not watch those episodes. M*A*S*H on the other hand, was great even when Henry Blakes plane was shot down over the sea of Japan. When Frank Burns went nuts and jumped in the bath with the general and his .....Secretary. Through Radar going home a man. M*A*S*H never fell off. Therefore, I must present the award to..................M*A*S*H.

The color episodes that led to Mayberry RFD I di not enjoy them at all. The B&W episodes with Barney, were classics, and GREAT in their own right. But the total body of work goes to M*A*S*H.
