The press didn't bother reporting something that would have reflected negatively on Democrats. Shocking....

Rush took it one step further by saying he hopes that Obama's stimulus package "prolongs the recession."

 

Easy to say for a multimillionaire. Disappointing for an American to say.

If Obama's policies were going to cost you your job, make Obama king instead of POTUS ending presidential elections, completely go against our constitution and make this a socialist country, would you hope he succeeds?

 

I know that's a little extreme, but to a conservative all of this MASSIVE spending with little "hope" of it actually working is extreme.

 

It's the policies that Rush and many conservatives hope to fail. To think conservatives want this country to fail or it's citizens to suffer in any way is just plain crazy.

 

To think the government has to stick it's nose into every nook and cranny to get money from us tax payers to distribute how it sees fit to save this country is ludicrous.

 

IMO the government (dem & rep) needs to BACK OFF, shrink itself and let what has kept this country great continue to work and do business and we'll be fine. WE THE PEOPLE!

 

If ANY president tries to grow government and spend like a drunken sailor...I also will hope He/She fails.

The Press was never in the tank with Bush. Bush, or any other president for that matter, was never portrayed as a Messiah by the press. They (press) have gone all out for this guy and practically financed his campaign. It will have to get VERY rough before they turn on him.

Rush has repeatedly said that he disagrees with O's policies and since O's goal is to get his policies in place, yeah, Rush and any of those that disagree with his policies would want him to fail.

 

In any actions that he takes to make abortions more commonplace in this country I hope he falls flat on his face failing to do that.

The only time government effects the economy is when they raise or lower taxes or pass laws regulating or deregulating our lives and businesses. Government spending is not the answer to our economic woes. We will take care of people as we climb out of this economic downturn, but government is not the answer to our economic woes.

He recently (2.13.09) said on a show "I hope it prolongs the failure. I hope it prolongs the recession."

 

That's different than saying "I hope his policies don't work." You can (maybe) write that off as a philosophical debate. Saying you hope the recession is prolonged means people suffer.
