March 9, 200917 yr So what was missing that caused the jury to go with manslaughter and not murder?My guess is that there was too much reasonable doubt regarding the abuse claims.
March 9, 200917 yr Here is what one of the (released) alternate jurors had to say: "I think the (claim of) self-defense has been shot down, from the evidence that I saw," he said this afternoon, adding that it is just his opinion. He said he believed much of McCafferty's testimony, but he felt that she slanted some facts to favor herself.
