March 6, 200917 yr Is it possible that TJ was more of a problem in the locker room than Chad? I would say there is no chance of that.
March 6, 200917 yr Is it possible that TJ was more of a problem in the locker room than Chad?My guess is that TJ was the problem on the inside and Chad wasn't a problem until he was outside. Just a guess.
March 6, 200917 yr Marvin was just pointing out positives about Coles. Believe he said his yards per catch is slightly better. TJ is a thing of the past now.. gotta look forward. I think Marvin has been backhanding TJ's reputation. He keeps mentioning how he has a guy who played hurt and only cares about football. The TJ I watched on Sundays went across the middle, got crushed, and kept playing, even when his counterpart had given up.
March 6, 200917 yr TJ has made his 40 million (well earned) but who was his coach? Chemistry on the Bengals was terrible and the biggest part of it is still a Bengal. 85 did have a partner in this. How many of the volunteer workouts did TJ show up for? I think Marvin is coaching this team by saying we want guys who will practice and think team first. Our Pro Bowl wide recievers were more I than we. Marvin's problem is his GM who is also owner. Is more of an I than we person.
March 7, 200917 yr This is part of the reason I don't mind seeing TJ go. He has always been somewhat of a malcontent. It is Marvin's job to tell everyone how great Coles is and maybe TJ needs to worry about the Seahawks and not about any slights Marvin may or may not be dishing out. It is the coaches job to put a positive spin on the situation, and I cant disagree with his analysis on this one. I believe you would see something similar released from most coaches, whatever team they were with.
March 7, 200917 yr Facts, sure. However, Marvin does not need to be saying those things. He was taking shots at TJ, and it was uncalled for. Marvin also said the following: "That was the one thing in T.J.: We had a consistent player. And we had to make sure we found one as consistent."
