Harrison County jumped out to a quick 10-0 lead and led by as many as 14 enroute to the the 38th District Championship tonight on the Hilltop. Deming goes to the 10th Region as the 38th District Runner-Up for the 4th consecutive year. Harrison placed 4 players in double figures as Coach Reitz wins his final game on the Hilltop.

Bad luck for the runner-up, Deming in this case, for this district as they are guaranteed a game with Mason, Clark, or Scott in the 1st round.

 

Harrison will not be getting an easy draw either as they will be looking to avoid Montgomery County and Brossart.

Great job Coach Reitz and team. Good luck with the draw tomorrow! Bring some of that lucky water from the lake!

There is not going to be a good draw for Deming no matter what and Harrison needs to draw St. Pat and that won't be an easy task either. Good luck to both teams as they travel to the 10th Region Tournament next Saturday.

This stat kills me. IMO I thought Harrison Co. was the more aggresive of the two teams. But they go basically twice as many times to the line.

There were a couple questionable calls here and there, but a lot of the FT disparity had to do with HC having a late lead and Deming sending them to the line on purpose.

 

After 3 quarters, Deming had gone to the line nine times and Harrison three. 27 of Harrison's 30 FT attempts were in the fourth quarter and 19 were in the final 2:00.

Good facts and I agree with you about the questionable calls. I really thought that killed Deming's momentum in the last 4 or 5 minutes of the game. I really thought Deming would make one final run. But I thought a couple of the calls took the wind out of the sails.

About a week ago the Indians beat Harrison Co at Harrison on their senior night by about 10.

But I thought a couple of the calls took the wind out of the sails.
