President Obama and His Favorite Word

Featured Replies

Crisis, crisis and more crisis.

Is anyone else disturbed with the way Obama uses the word "crisis" to push any agenda he wants across the table.

The economy will not get better until all this negativity coming from our nation's leader comes to an end.

I couldn't agree more, however, I thought his favorite word was "um".

Yes, I am disturbed about it. I'm beginning to believe that Obama knows the economy will repair itself (without the porkulus package) several months before the 2012 election. He wants it to look as bad as possible for a while and then take responsibility for the recovery. Just a few weeks into his presidency is too soon for him to be positive. A positive outlook at this time doesn't fit the campaign plan he's currently running.

Obama is certainly, as usual, getting help from the AP. Check this out from a recent article. They're as bad as he is on the ridiculous hype.

Highways repaved for the first time in decades. Century-old waterlines dug up and replaced with new pipes. Aging bridges, stressed under the weight of today's SUVs, reinforced with fresh steel and concrete.

Highways repaved for the first time in decades? Come on, really? Decades?

I thought his favorite word was "hope".

Hope, crisis.....Most fascist wanna-be dictators always paint the picture as bleak as possible so that their ideas and initiatives will be seen as better than what they currently have. That's what makes socialism and communism work......for a while.

I also can't stand when he says, "I don't know if this will work, I don't know if America will make it out of this catastrophe." Way to instill "hope" into the market and the pocketbooks of the average American.

This is America, we'll make it out of this because we're to great to fail.

Very typical of Obama and the Dems, they want you to think that only big govt can solve any problem when most of the time they create the problems.

I thought his favorite word was "Change". I was figuring that his Presidency would be like the South Park episode, where ironically the homeless run rampant asking for "change".

It's almost like a certain former President and his use of the words "terrorism", "terrorists" etc...

What was that small event that happened in the fall of 2001? I can't seem to put it into words. Do you remember? Have you forgotten?

It was only an alleged occurance.

HB20 bring and Latch bring up a good point. Surely both presidents weren't/aren't supposed to pretend that there is no pink elephant in the room. We are in an economic crisis. We were, in 2001 attacked by terrorists. Why should either not mention the words related to those events?

Agreed, if he gets us out of the crisis he should be applauded. Just like Bush should be applauded for their being no more attacks on US soil since 01.
