The Northern Kentucky Knicks AAU (U14) are playing Scott County this weekend. Brackets are supposed to be published tomorrow (Wednesday).

U8 and U10 are the first of the AAU State Tourney's. Who is playing D1 U10? Usually this field is a little light.

I believe the U12 Omega is 3 schools Newport Catholic, Highlands and Campbell County...which is probably no more than 5 miles apart.

Omega 11U has 8 kids living in Campbell County and 1 from Pendleton. I would say that is much smaller than the Greater Cincinnati area.

 

The decision is up to the coaches, plain and simple. I am guessing that the Omega coach will choose to play D2 because that is what he feels is best for his team (considering they have not made it out of D2 pool play the last two years).

Both are local teams and I would expect both to play D2.

 

Pretty much...any of the teams from N. KY could go and qualify for D2. Most of the teams are made up of 3 to 4 schools. I can't think of any team at any age level that get's kids outside of N. KY.

The Louisville Suns are always very solid. The Lexington Celtics are brand new, I'll see what I can find out.

Who all is playing in Scott County this weekend?

 

I heard a rumor that the 13U KY Elite are playing up in the 14U division. Those should be some good games.

 

The 11U tourney is very strong with the Blaze, Omega, Panthers, Montgomery County, Mason County, NKY Suns and Bracken County.

 

The Franklin County Flyers 14U AAU will be at Scott County this weekend. 10 kids all going to the same high school, looking to get better as a team.

When will the Scott County tourney schedule be posted?
