Simple, reading for content and comprehension is no longer important (ask someone in either house of congress)! We should no longer teach it (based on this recent example.) We’ve deemed it no longer important. For, if it was important not a single person should have voted for it as the largest transfer of wealth in this nation’s history without reading it and cutting the BS!

Only 1/8th of this spending will occur in the fiscal year. Less than $200B in the first two years. The majority of the "porkulus" bill will be spent to in years 3 and 4 just in time for the re-election cycle for BHO.

 

If it is such an emergency that it had be signed before even one senator or congressman could read it let alone the voting public, why is the majority of the spending $600 billion not for two years. Why the rush?

He's going to sign the largest spending bill in our nation's history into law, three-quarters of which is clearly not "emergency spending" without even giving the congress time to read it in its entirety... much less the rest of us peons.

 

Even though Obama had his hands on the Ledbetter bill for two days, the first chance Americans got to comment on it on the White House Web site was after the president had already signed it into law

 

Obama also promised that lobbyists "won't find a job in my White House". Which is a blatant falsehood.

It's a long race FB. In fact it's a marathon. I think I'll pace myself. I don't think I'll be disappointed. But, I'm not looking for things that just affect me. Maybe that's the difference?:idunno:

Well lets just get radical !

1. NO foreign aid

2. Pull out of all foreign countries

3. Close all borders

4. Cut out all non essential programs

5. 10% tax across the board

6. $1000.00 tax per participant for all pro sports events (waste on power and transportation fuel cost)

7. $10.00 tax for all spectators for pro sports events (same as above)

8. No lobbying

9. No campaign donations from public or private (only set amount from govt.)

10. No bail outs (if you can't afford it, don't buy it)

Just to be clear...keep in mind that even without the pork, this "stimulus" package wouldn't do what it is supposed to- Keynesian economics simply don't work.

A clarification before we choose to answer your questions - are you asking us to list certain parts or all parts of the 1100 page package? Meaning if we list parts that we think are workable, are we just going to be hammered with ones that we didn't mention?
