The last time I checked, there are no exclusive threads on this "pay to participate" chat site.

 

Once the Trinity thread is opened, your opinion and those of your fellow "Xavierites" will be expected and welcomed.

 

One game does not define a season.

 

Winning games 14 and 15 are usually more valued than game 5 or 6.

I concur that Buehner will be a difference maker all of the St. Xavier contests. I honestly thought he should have started all along last season. I am wondering how the changes in the coaching staff will affect the players. Coach Glaser will definitely reload and I will be happy when the KHSAA puts their final stamp of approval on next season's playoff schedule. I like Brohm on defense. Hall both ways as much as he can take it. I'm sure you all have plenty of quality linemen. It will come down to the fourth quarter of the rematch, as usual. And that is always worth looking forward to. The regular season will have it's usual 8 or 9 dominant performances.

Who is the new running backs coach?

Tough early schedule for a team losing a ton of talent due to graduation. Cincy X will be a tough challenge for a team lacking experience early in the season. Through Trinity into the mix and things get really interesting. As for Daylen, :idunno: I am sure Coach Glaser will do whats best for the program. If Daylen does gets cut in baseball he will consentrate on track. His goal is the mid 4.3's for his junior season. Daylen is already being recruited by Louisville,Kentucky and several other D-1 schools. Neal should have a huge year, and lets not forget about Montano. Beech,Lawson and Snelling should make for a pretty formidable LB core. Secondary should be strong with Sears and Hall at safety. McMurray needs to be on the field. If not back then Wr or DB. QB position is solid. Buener and Leohnert will be a strong combo. If Brohm sticks at QB, then X will be three strong at QB. Even with all of the talent X has in the so call "skilled" position, a State Championship will hinge on how well the O-D lines perform. In my opinon, football games are won and lost on the line of scrimmage. Should be a very interesting year to be a St.X fan.:popcorn:

 

St.Xavier coaching staff clocked cb/wr Daylen Hall at 4.33 on the turf a couple weeks ago. Ryan Leonehrt has looked great at wr-te during 7on7. Luke Brohm has looked very strong at qb-te. Overall, St.X looked pretty good during 7v7 tournaments. Lb Jason Barito will be a name folks will get used to hearing during the regular season.

Daylen is blazing fast, but I doubt he breaks 4.5 personally.....though we won't know....but hand times aren't reliable at all.

I don't think there can be any question about that. It appeared that X brought or had maybe 2 to 3x the numbers of players compared to the teams they faced. Some of the opponents seemed to match up - for a while. Then the numbers 'kicked in." But agree - as to the emphasis and excitement the kids seemed to have. Maybe the "West Coast Offense" has come to Poplar Level.
