Ballard should be much improved (20+). LexCath is better than many local teams, but still will lose by by more than 40. Cincy X will be formidable (pick 'em). Male is not the Male of old, 30 point spread. Central will challenge for a quarter and become a 30 point spread as well. Trinity is Trinity (+ or - 10). Butler and PRP are district games you must play, both 60+ victories. Manual remains the Manual of old and will not offer you a challenge (50+). CovCath has fallen on difficult times (40+). So 10-0, 9-1 or 8-2 at the worst for the Tiger faithful heading into the playoffs. Currently, Trinity and St. Xavier could meet in the final in Bowling Green. But that is subject to change according to a KHSAA official.

Is moving to the WIL LB.

I think it will be one of the better O-lines the Tiger's have had in a while.

 

Better than last years O line that averaged 50+ points a game. I don't think so.:confused:

Word is that the three are Jim wagoner (with son coming in and others at home), Rick Sorrells , who returned with Wagoner afew years ago, and his good friend, and Walter Martin who primarily worked in the weight room. Walter has a law degree, is recently marries and expecting a child, and is going to return to practicing law.

No way, there is a bunch of talent in the senior and junior classes. 1 or 2 losses at the most. They will have all the offensive tools you could ask for and they always reload on defense. This will be a very good team that will contend for a title again this year.

I always felt that Wags was a great RB coach, and he has had a ton of great RB's in the past, but him leaving could allow someone who is perhaps a better QB coach to come in. They will miss his fire on the sidelines though.

I could not agree more! Some people close to the program would say he could have been a great QB coach if he had more input regarding certain matters.

 

I know based on what I the kids are discussing that they will miss him.

"If Daylen does gets cut in baseball he will consentrate on track." I don't see that happening. He's a lock for making jv and starting. If his hitting continues where it ended last year he should earn varsity time in CF when Sweeney pitches. Sorry to jack baseball into a football thread.

I would rather see this group peak later in the season around playoff time than early.

Next years secondary might be better than last. The Qb position, wide receiver position and the RB position will be very good. As for the defense in general, very good. The OL is the only ?? in the equation and the two O guards will be solid in Ervin and karrer. The kicking game is great with the same guy who has done this for the last two years and some even his frosh year. St X does not punt much! Brohm will play somewhere. Maybe tight end at 6' 190 lbs. good athlete. LB's will be very good. The schedule is not that of Trinity or even Manual, but, Trinity is the only obstacle again.

I would say RB is a big question mark going into next season. Neal and Montano are the front runners then a group of juniors with a combined 5-6 varsity carries. Its seems like every year X battles the injury bug at the running back position. Can Montano play the FB position? Who backs up Neal? Hayden or McMurray? Another thought for the FB position is Will Lawson. The kid is a natural FB that plays full speed every down. Victor and Deuce both had great FB's, Knotts and Wolz.
