poon Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Boone Co./Ryle boys basketball game will be played at 6:00 tonight. It will be followed by the Boone Co./Ryle girls varsity game.
Nkysportsblog Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 I've always liked the boys/girls DH concept. Yeah especially when the girls game is going to be as good as this one.
8675309 Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Good luck to all 4 teams! Both games should be pretty good to watch. Very exciting!
thebigfella23 Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Why have they been playing the girls game after the boys this year in DH? It was the same with the HC/Holmes game.
Eta Rho Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Why have they been playing the girls game after the boys this year in DH? It was the same with the HC/Holmes game. Title IX....next year the boys will play in the "primetime" slot.

Voice of Reason Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Is this a makeup/rescheduled game? Ryle played Highlands last night, right? Highlands and Boone back to back is a tough row for anyone.
Shadrach Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Game was supposed to be Tuesday, but snow canceled it. The girls were already scheduled for Thursday night. The coaches agreed to do double header and cancel the JV games. Boys naturally will take the 6pm slot since it was the girls originally scheduled game. Title IX is part of it, but common sense dictates this as well.
AirYardGo Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 If Boone wins do they get the #1 seed in the 33rd?
Eta Rho Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 If Boone wins do they get the #1 seed in the 33rd? Yes..
Eta Rho Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 What would happen if Ryle won?? As it stands: Boone 4-0 Ryle 4-1 Conner 1-4 Cooper 0-5 If Ryle wins it creates a first place tie between them and Boone since both would only have one loss, and then depending on whether or not Boone beats Conner on the 12th, would determine whether or not a tiebreaker formula would be used to determine the #1 seed. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
