It is an exciting time of the year. I know there was some talk on here awhile back about who the QB is going to be. I would assume it's been decided by now given there's only 2 weeks until the opening game...so who is it? :-) Is Barr going to be starting at running back? If so, who's going to be lining up with him in the backfield?

The coaching staff has and will continue to use the philosophy of there are no guaranteed starting spots. You earn it week to week in practice. That being said, I believe that no decisions have been made. Tonight will probably show some front runners, but no permanency.

I think it's better for a team to have some stability at a few key spots, especially quarterback. Last year's Raceland team had that and their main rival, Lexington Christian, certainly has that this year.

 

In any case, I'm looking forward to seeing Raceland play Boyd County on August 22nd. Does Raceland have any scrimmages scheduled prior to that other than tonight's intrasquad game?

We play West Carter next Saturday night (August 15th) in the Grid game at home.

Will anyone be at the game tonight that can keep BGPers up to date throught the scrimmage? I know some cannot make it to the game that would love to be in the loop of what is happening...........

I have the internet on my iPhone, but I will be a little busy. Hopefully just watching but you know there is always something that needs taped or stretched.:lol:

Rowan County vs. Lewis County 5 pm.

Fairview vs. Morgan County 6:30 pm.

I agree with you Ryan, these things have a way of working their way out. I know that the leaders will be in place when the time arises.

I can say at a accuracy rate of 100% that the starting QB at Raceland will be the one that the coach puts in that position to start the game. That is not saying he will stay there but the starter will be who the coach says it will be on any given game. Mark it down!!

The game will start at 7pm. Actually, I think the weightlifting championship rings will be presented at 7 with the game to follow.
