mcraycraft Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 In another thread it was mentioned that some people are overlooking Mason County in the 10th. We will see what they say after the next 6 games: Feb. 2 Dunbar Away Feb. 3 Montgomery County Home Feb. 5 Rowan County Home Feb. 6 Clark County Away Feb. 8 Fleming County Home Feb. 10 Elliot County Away I still like GRC out of the 10th, but I will be watching this stretch of games for Mason County.
bigblueinsanity Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Tonights game is cancelled. Mason Co is a very good team they play outstanding D. I look forward to seeing Mason Co vs GRC this Friday!
BaseballIsLife Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Mason being overlooked? I HIGHLY doubt that.
gold sunrise Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Tonights game is canceled. Mason Co is a very good team they play outstanding D. I look forward to seeing Mason Co vs GRC this Friday! With Rogers out, GRC has to find a new rotation and possibly players adjusting to new positions. This will take awhile to adjust. We will take some lumps in the rest of the regular season. What really matters is post season play....just hope the Cards make the adjustments over the next few weeks.

I am sure that GRC is not overlooking Mason. Of the above games I can see Mason winning them all ....except maybe Elliott.....after their loss in the All A they will be on a mission. Also Elliott will have the home court advantage.
mcpapa Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 As mentioned above, the game at Dunbar scheduled for tonight has been cancelled. That makes 4 games in 6 days instead of 5 games in 7 days.
Eta Rho Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Why was the game tonight cancelled? Is the weather down there still pretty bad? It's sunny and 40 up here in nky.
mcpapa Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Why was the game tonight cancelled? Is the weather down there still pretty bad? It's sunny and 40 up here in nky. Wondered the same thing myself. Mason played at Campbell Saturday night.
Wireman Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I don't think anyone will overlook Mason County or GRC (or whoever else might win the region). I think the point was that they sure better not overlook Shelby Valley if they win the 15th. They have a very nice team.
mcpapa Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Here are two things about folks "overlooking" Mason County. First, I don't think too many overlook the defending state champions. Second, as I recall, Mason didn't get into the top 10 of the polls until the loss to Scott County. I guess sometimes a "good loss" is better in the pollsters' minds than a "bad win". We will see if Scott benefits from that mindset after taking Holmes into OT on Saturday.
grandpa1951 Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 (edited) I'm wondering just as much as you are mcpapa. Edited February 2, 2009 by STRIKE3 comply w/Rule #13
bigblueinsanity Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 The game was cancelled because Dunbar's gym was being used as a sheltor.

SugarDaddy Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I doubt GRC is overlooking Mason Co. It seems like every game I've been to lately, I look up in the stands and see Larry Allison. He's either becoming a big Mason Co. fan or is doing an awful lot of scouting.
