halfback20 Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Any suggestions? I have an iPod touch, so I don't think I'll go for an iPhone. I am considering moving to AT&T though. So does anyone here suggest a particular phone? I'd like to get one that I can browse the internet, much like the iPhone, so what does that narrow it down to? I haven't bought a new phone in a long time...and I'm not looking to break the bank. I've looked on AT&T's website and I can get a blackberry curve for around $79.99 brand new...is that a good deal? Any help would be appreciated.
woodsrider Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 If you are going to switch to AT&T go to Wal-Mart's website. You can get the curve for free and the Bold for free with the right plan. You can get the bold for $99.99 with any plan. I don't know much about HTC but their phones look sweet. Also the LG VU, Samsung Epix & Eternity.
Xtiger69 Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 I-phone 3G is the only way to go! They are amazing and easy to use, and only $199.00
halfback20 Posted January 30, 2009 Author Posted January 30, 2009 But I'm not really sure I need an iPhone. I have an iPod touch for my music, and it has wifi on it.
cch5432 Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 I'd stay away from AT&T, personally. I am switching to Cincinnati Bell as soon as my contract runs up. I can offer no help in terms of cool phones. Most of my phones suffer the same aquatic fate. I can tell you which phones deal best with water damage.
halfback20 Posted January 30, 2009 Author Posted January 30, 2009 I haven't had a "good" phone in a long time. I'm really liking what I read about the blackberry.... But I need more information on which blackberry I should go with.

It doesn't have a full keyboard, there are 2 letters per number, but it is much smaller than the Curve which is nice, IMO. It does the same thing and it is easy to browse the internet. I have never really had an issue with the battery life, but I do have a car/wall/usb charger so I charge it daily. The Blackberry messenger is really neat if you know other people with BB's.
rockmom Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 I'm with Verizon, and just had my new every two upgrade. I got the Dare and I LOVE IT!!!!!
Blue Magic Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Sell the iTouch and get an iPhone. Sell the touch for 125 and go to walmart because iPhones are 199. You'd be way happier with that than the curve.
saint4 Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 I have the Blackjack 2 and I like it, it is really easy to text on it. It has big keys for a full keyboard. It also has a lot of memory.
halfback20 Posted January 30, 2009 Author Posted January 30, 2009 The $199 iphones at wal-mart are the 8GB aren't they?
Alabama Larry Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 I have AT&T and love them. I just upgraded to a propel by Samsung and it fits me real well. I don't need a lot of stuff and it does a lot more than I'll ever figure out. The battery could last longer. Mine is Crimson colored and plays "Yea Alabama". :notworthy:
goldendomer57 Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Blackberrys are great but you must be willing to pay an extra 30 bucks a month for Blackberry charges.
