January 30, 200917 yr To be fair, I have noticed CNN holding O's feet to the fire on this pork spending bill. Lou Dobbs' noticeably has been all over it. . Lets be fair here. All networks seem to have shown their bias and/or ignorance on early reporting of this stimulus bill. Lou is on the list as one who reports on it without understanding it. He claimed the package would only increase output by 1.5 and 3% over the lifetime of the package and cited CBO as his source. Again, out of either ignorance or bias his claim was incorrect. That was the claim for the first year by the CBO. So, my point is that its useless to get on here and rail against one side or the other when its clear that the talking heads really don't care or don't know what they're talking about.

I watched for 3 hours and they railed about the Reps lack of bipartsin support since none voted for the package in the House. NOT ONE MENTION of the Democrats who didn't vote for it either. And you survived??? I wish I could quote the speech the question moderator gave at the end of the movie "Billy Madison". Something about everyone being dumber for having listened to his answer.
January 30, 200917 yr I always use MSNBC and CNN for that. I don't think CNN belongs with MSNBC and KOS.
January 30, 200917 yr I don't think CNN belongs with MSNBC and KOS. Your right, they do a better job.
January 30, 200917 yr And you survived??? I wish I could quote the speech the question moderator gave at the end of the movie "Billy Madison". Something about everyone being dumber for having listened to his answer. Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

January 30, 200917 yr Daily Kos???:puke: Are you serious? This site cheered the death of Tony Snow. On Sunday, conservatives began an all-out assault on President Obama’s economic recovery plan, with House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) and Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) both announcing that they would vote against the plan as it stood. Despite Obama’s efforts at good faith outreach, congressional conservatives have continued to attack the stimulus plan with a series of false and disingenuous arguments. The media have been aiding their efforts. In a new analysis, ThinkProgress has found that the five cable news networks — CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, Fox Business and CNBC — have hosted more Republican lawmakers to discuss the plan than Democrats by a 2 to 1 ratio this week: DailyKOs
January 30, 200917 yr the problem with your dismissal was that there was no opinion offered in the quote. Only figures. They didn't say it was good or bad, only what happened. No opinion? What are the bolded?
January 30, 200917 yr Why would MSNBC host Democrats when they won't belittle them? Did you watch the interviews on MSNBC? Or just spewing off a random stat from a biased liberal website? All they did was try to make the Republicans look like stubborn, immature jerks who are just holding a grudge against Obama... Trust me, they weren't looking to understand the Republicans views on the stimulus package...

Lou Dobbs is NOT CNN. He is their "token" fiscal conservative.

Something about everyone being dumber for having listened to his answer. I have found that MSNBC is the only station that carries the daily WH press briefings and I have found those interesting.
