January 30, 200917 yr On Sunday, conservatives began an all-out assault on President Obama’s economic recovery plan, with House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) and Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) both announcing that they would vote against the plan as it stood. Despite Obama’s efforts at good faith outreach, congressional conservatives have continued to attack the stimulus plan with a series of false and disingenuous arguments. The media have been aiding their efforts. In a new analysis, ThinkProgress has found that the five cable news networks — CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, Fox Business and CNBC — have hosted more Republican lawmakers to discuss the plan than Democrats by a 2 to 1 ratio this week: DailyKOs

Fox, yes. Others, not so much. Someone mention that one side had bipartisan support. And it was the side against Obama's plan. There were Democrats and Republicans on that side. Only Democrats on the other.

January 30, 200917 yr Once you list the DailyKOs as a source, no one is going to think it credible. So much so, that few will even respond directly to KOs propaganda.
January 30, 200917 yr Author Once you list the DailyKOs as a source, no one is going to think it credible. the problem with your dismissal was that there was no opinion offered in the quote. Only figures. They didn't say it was good or bad, only what happened.
January 30, 200917 yr Once you list the DailyKOs as a source, no one is going to think it credible. The same can be said for Fox news or drudge.

January 30, 200917 yr If you were a cable network looking for eyeballs and the new Dem President and the Dem Congress wrote a huge spending bill would you have as guests people likely to say "looks great to me" or would you pull in guests likely to criticize it and foster some sort of debate?
January 30, 200917 yr No opinion? What are the bolded? You beat me to it. The only thing keeping the DailyKO's from being the worst possible source for credible info is the huffingtonpost.
January 30, 200917 yr You beat me to it. The only thing keeping the DailyKO's from being the worst possible source for credible info is the huffingtonpost. I disagree. It is a very credible source of information to understand what the far left is thinking. Beyond that it is not worth much.
January 30, 200917 yr I disagree. It is a very credible source of information to understand what the far left is thinking. Beyond that it is not worth much. I always use MSNBC and CNN for that.

January 30, 200917 yr I always use MSNBC and CNN for that. To be fair, I have noticed CNN holding O's feet to the fire on this pork spending bill. Lou Dobbs' noticeably has been all over it. MSNBC, now that is another story. I watched for 3 hours and they railed about the Reps lack of bipartsin support since none voted for the package in the House. NOT ONE MENTION of the Democrats who didn't vote for it either.
January 30, 200917 yr Lets be fair here. All networks seem to have shown their bias and/or ignorance on early reporting of this stimulus bill.
