Yeah, it's a mess along Eastern Parkway. My brother lives just south of Eastern in between Poplar Level and Preston. I couldn't get into his neighborhood from the Preston side because of a tree down, and side streets were too snowblocked or tree-blocked to navigate, so I had to loop all the way around Eastern and enter from the Poplar Level side. Power was out on Eastern the whole stretch between those two major roads, and appeared to be all the way up. Very spooky sight.

90% of Paducah without power. Trees down everywhere! Last night me and my roommate left the house to go get gas and groceries, we had been without power for 5 hrs and stupidly got out. there was a limb in the road so we got out to clear it, and I heard "pop pop pop" right above me, and could feel ice falling...I knew what was coming, I yelled "look out Marcus!" and went to run, but right foot slipped, when it did, I did a front tuck and roll and tried to crawl after that and the limb landed arcross my ankle/calf. It was probably about 15' long and about as big around as a football, easily weighing 150 lbs. Scared me to death. I'm a little sore today, but had that thing hit me flush, I'd have been hurt very badly. Afterwards we laughed but man, it was scary. My buddy's eyes were as big as saucers and he could only say "dude...are you ok?"

That is exactly where I live. Unfortunately, my house is easily noticable, as half of a large tree is leaning against it.

Glad to hear you weren't severely injured Rocket. It's pretty dangerous out there.

Our front and back yards are horrible. Thank God no one or nothing was hurt. I guess you would say we are in a brown out? Some people on our block are without electricity and phone....Thank God, we kept ours this time.

I don't know if two of our trees can be saved or not. The snow in our yard is slick, so, we will check it out another time. I am going to get someone to clean this mess up for me. PH used to do all of that stuff, but, now he can't. I can't even move the branches, let alone the huge half tree that is down.

Hope everyone gets their power on and is safe now.

One managed to fall on a power line on our driveway. We've heard we won't have power again until February the 4th :madman:
