Clark County's Rogers out for rest of regular season

This could be somewhat of a blessing in disguise. Due to his injury, now they can start to develop some of their big men a little bit more that are ususally on the bench. We know how good both the players are in Rogers and Pervis and with their injuries its going to have to take somebody to step up and fill their shoes. This can do nothing but good for GRC as they will develop more and more of their players. Just a thought.

Here is to a speedy recovery!

Get well soon!

I agree....think we will see more of how it will help next year than this year.

I still see the Cards as one of the favorites in the 10th. Cory is a great player but Daniels will fill in nicely.

Hopefully Cory is able to come back in time for atleast the region tournament.

I hate to see Rogers out. He is a lot of fun to watch play. He really competes hard and is a great player.

Cory is scheduled to have surgery on his nose tomorrow ( Wednesday). Keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

There's an article on Cory's prognosis in today's Winchester Sun (thanks for the heads-up, GS), but IE hangs when I try to get to it. Maybe someone else will have better luck and post a link.

Certainly not the same as basketball, but after having my nose broken 5 seperate times, I had surgery for a deviated septum and was playing softball in about three weeks. The nature and severity of this injury could be much different. With the toughness he shows on the floor, I would imagine him (at least personally) chomping at the bits to return for regionals.

Update:

Cory had his surgery Wednesday. It was alot worse than the Dr's thought , but was successful. It will take 6 + weeks to heal. This was his second surgery in a week.

Thanks for all the kind words and thoughts.
