This was a great game for the Cards to show that they're legit. Pitino had never won in the Dome, and neither had the Cards. The crowd was fantastic (bad for the Cards), but the Cards handled that very well. I thought Syracuse played very well, but just couldn't seem to get their game going the way they wanted it to. Devendorf is my personal enemy #1 now.

I loved the way, that whenever Syracuse got something going, and got the crowd into the game, someone on the Cards would just step up and make a big play at the other end of the court! They seemed to be thriving on the noise. I thought they looked very "together" too. I was disappointed with some shots not falling, but instead of letting that derail their game, the hustled back on defense and more often than not stifled the Orange. That's the big difference between the beginning of the season and now. They're having fun, but they're "working". They're keeping their eye on the goal. Although T-Will is THE MAN, I don't think he's carrying the team. The workload is definitely being distributed pretty evenly, and that keeps a bad night for one from being the negative impact it could be if we were built around only one or two players.

Great game, good fun, and what fun it is to be a Cardinal fan right now!

Very nice win on the road for the Cards. I picked Syracuse mainly because they were at home and I figured UL had to lose one eventually. Very impressive win.

Since neither Pitino, nor the Cards had ever won there, it was a smart, logical pick. Plus, they were ranked higher than the Cards. I can't fault you for that kind of pick.

I'd say anything is possible, but not probable.

At one point and time I was a Louisville critic. But I think today did it for me. Impressive resume so far beating Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Notre Dame, etc... in the "toughest" conference. (I used quotations because some believe it and some don't). If they can beat Uconn, I just don't see anyone else in the conference challenging them.

That's really the only reason I picked UL. I really like their team and they've been playing great since the New Year. I did the same thing with UK, I figured they had to lose eventually on the road in conference and it seems like Bama always gives them a hard time down there. I'm very happy that I missed both picks. :thumb:

No way they run the gauntlet and go undefeated. At some point they will have an off night or two on the road and take a few on the chin. That said, they have put themselves in the drivers seat so far...

I can't see them or anyone in that league going undefeated either. They are setting themselves up to get back into the discussion for a #1 seed in the NCAAs though.

What makes U of L so good is their defense. They're #1 nationally in defensive efficiency, allowing only 81 points every 100 possessions. (The national average is 100.4). Only 1 team (UK) has had an offensive efficiency of greater than 100 against U of L. That means that U of L is only a little above average offensively (88th nationally in offensive efficiency), but they can still lay it down defensively and beat teams consistently.

Love Ken Pomeroy's site...that is where the info comes.

Fun to look at teams...you look at Notre Dame and they are above average on offense, but their defense is so bad...but they is a trademark of Bray's teams.
