I think my favorite was when they called a block and a charge on the same play.

 

I am going to break one of my rules for discussing games! In approx 600 posts I have never mentioned officiating. Worst officiated game I have ever seen at the varsity level!

 

Usually when you see a disparity in free throws you can attribute it to a team shooting a lot of jump shots and not taking the ball inside or one team playing a lot of zone.

 

Scott attacked the basket and threw the ball inside and shot very few 3 pointers. I would guess GRC had more attempts from outside. Zollo was the beneficiary of quite a few questionable calls on both ends of the floor.

 

Both teams wanted to play a physical man to man defense and the difference in the game was one team was allowed to play that way.:deadhorse:

Stenzel also appeared still to be under the weather managing 17 points. I hope and pray that a short break will help Hatton, Stenzel and Rogers heal. I feel they can do it they all need to start playing healthy and together again. Go Cards.

Bad sign for Scott as far as chances to win the region with getting beat at home by a depleted GRC squad. It's hard to imagine a team with more bad luck due to injuries in one season than what GRC has endured. Congrats to GRC.

He is still sick....was questionable if he would play last night. Another example of how much these players don't want to let their teammates down and play through adversity.

Scott will be fine....they will be more determined than ever...a team I don't want to face in the post season.

 

Yes it has been unreal of how much these Cards has faced and had to play through. How the rest of the season will play out....we don't know. But I will say that the Cards will put forth their best effort, no matter the circumstances. You have to love that about this team.

I love seeing Zollo putting up nice numbers.

True. If GRC gets back to full strength, they would be my favorite to win the region, with Mason a close 2 then Scott/Campbell/Brossart - T3. All of these teams seem to be well coached.

Zollo is going to be a nice player, especially if he continues to grow. He has a pretty nice skill set for a kid his age and with his height.

What size shoes does he wear? 18 or 19?

I see a lot of potential from him.

 

The Eags will be OK...I think after they play the Polar Bears tomorrow night they are done with the 10th Region until districts, where they are the one seed.

Sure didn't know that big shoes makes one a good ball player. If I were coaching , I'd buy larger shoes for the entire ball team.:banana:
