January 20, 200917 yr The Reds don't need a cancer like Manny. In all reality if they can keep the young nucleus of players together and healthy, the Reds have a decent shot at the wild card this year and should be entering a probably 5 year window of being a very good team

Sign him to a 2 year deal worth a lot of money. If we're out of it, then trade him to the Yankees, Angels, Nationals, or whoever wants him. I'd imagine Manny is demanding a no trade clause, but you'd have to put teams who would realistically be able to afford that type of money. If the Reds signed Manny for this year, they wouldn't be in the hunt for the Wild Card. They'd be the favorites to win the division.

They have enough pitching to contend if they stay healthy and add Manny Ramirez. They can play pretty good and have an outside chance at the wild card w/o him, but a lot has to go well.
