Why Not Sign Manny?

Featured Replies

I've got to see three World Series Champions here in Cincinnati, how many have you seen the Cubs win again? I'll hang up and listen.

That's pretty original, did you come up with that on your own? I hadn't even realized that its been over a hundred years:clap:

Not to mention I was talking to him, not you. I know he's not old so he wouldn't remember it

The Reds don't need a cancer like Manny. In all reality if they can keep the young nucleus of players together and healthy, the Reds have a decent shot at the wild card this year and should be entering a probably 5 year window of being a very good team

If Manny is a cancer why do they win every where he goes?

Who needs Manny when you can sign Johnny Gomes to a minor league deal, like the Redlegs did today.[/quote

With Jock's luck he may be the Ryan Ludwick for the Reds. Have you all seen Ludwick's stats before the Cards got him?

Did you watch the Reds last world series?

You young fellas. It won't be long before you realize that 20 years isn't that long ago. I went to game 2 of the 90 Series.

Also have been to game 1 and 6 of the 72 series. Reds lost in 7.

Game 4 of the 75 series. Reds won in 7.

Seems like yesterday... :notworthy:

At least we're relevant after the All star game, I'll take that rather than already thinking about next year in June:lol::idunno:

Haven't been relevant since 1908...

Keep telling yourself that

It is true though...:deadhorse:

So by that logic, the only relevant team this year was the Phils.

So the Rays weren't relevant because they didn't win the WS, or the Angels, or the Bo Sox, etc....Interesting

Hey, hey now. Why all the arguing over 2 totally ludicrous, implausible things like Manny signing with the Reds and especially the Cubs winning the World Series?

Ah how quickly we forget...

It looks like the Reds are done making moves this offseason. I still want them to pursue Manny & see what happens.
