Elliott County 74 East Carter 52

I think that the best big man discussion between Knipp and Barnhill is now over. Colt outplayed him in every aspect of the game. I'm not sure on the number of blocks that he had but it was close to being a triple double. Timmy did alot of his scoring from the outside and when Barnhill was out of the game bleeding from the beating that he was taking.

Elliott really turned up the pressure in the second half and had zero turnovers in the third quarter. They are going to be tough for anyone to handle

I agree he could played harder at times. But I thought he made some big plays in the first half when Elliott needed them to keep them in the lead when East would make a little run..

CONGRATS ELLIOTT!!

You live up to my prediction about the better EC!

Both are good players who play different type games, they both could play on my team anyday!

Another great game and A "W" for the Lions.:dancingpa:dancingpa

Colt is a very good player, but Timmy is just as good. They guarded each other and I think each had 18, so I wouldn't say Colt outplayed him in every aspect of the game. Colt got some while Timmy was sitting in the third quarter just like Timmy got a few while Colt sat. Both played very well tonight. Both players have a bright future if they continue to work hard.

Good win in a packed gym at East Carter. More back to form than the West and Anderson games. Pressure defense created problems and that led to many run-outs and easy baskets. Seemed to be back to the tempo that the boy's from Elliott like. Elliott built the lead to 26 in the 2d half and then cruised to the win. Some dwell on Elliott shooting well for success. They also are much better when there is chaos created from the pressure defense, a fanatic pace, and they are pushing the ball and speeding the tempo up. This sets them up to shoot well. Looked much closer to the Elliott games we are all used to tonight. I think they will get back there in the next few games and back to full throttle warp speed that we are all used to.

East hung with them in the first half, then it was all lions. T.Knipp played well tonight I think he had around 17.

6-7 in the 16th region and only got 2 rebounds?

Stats anyone?

So?

Finally the Lions showed a little bit of their old selves tonight. East has a great looking group of kids but just can't put it together I guess. Lions finally played with more emotion on the defensive side of the ball and hit the boards. Great win for the Lions.

Elliott thwarted the east attempt to slow the pace by pressuring the guards and then letting defense create offense. Great defensive effort. Knipp and Barnhill play completely different types of games within completely different offensive and defensive schemes. Both played well tonight. Barnhill is strong enough to take over a game if the perimeter players can handle the pressure well enough to get him the ball. I haven't seen stats but I don't recall anyone blocking close to ten shots, not that it would affect my view of the game. Both big men do what they are supposed to do within their respective systems. Ferguson shot the ball well and the Faulkners forced the pace with solid defensive efforts, creating numerous turnovers and transistion baskets. Chris Knipp seems to improve with each outing.

I agree!:thumb: He is getting more confidence each game and is really becoming a great attribute. I noticed that John Morgan hasn't played much in the last 3 or 4 games; hard to believe because he is such a great role player anyone know why?

Great win for the lions! expected it anyway. East just isn't cutting it this year. Barnhill is just a garbage player and isn't even in Timmy Knipps league. Knipp has what it takes to go to the next level.

Actually Barnhill is a legitimate post player, and Knipp is more of a wing forward combo. Do Garbage players use either hand on jump hooks, use up and under moves, and even nail the occasional 18 footer? Colt will play at the next level as well. College coaches can see right through a kid, they know who will cut it at the next level, They know who is willing to work hard and give 110% on every possession and who coasts alot of the time.

To make that statement one of the below has to be true:

1. You're joking!!

2. You're in some kind of fever stricken sickness

3. You just have no clue about basketball.

Let me know which one is true!!!
