January 10, 200917 yr We're not talking about weed really, and we don't know what path his dealer took. Who are you trying to stick up for? Better yet, why are you trying to stick up for them? Read Oldrambler's post, then read mine again. I think it's obvious. I was disagreeing that all drug dealers deserved the harshest penalties. Because not all do. By the way, *golf clap* for Oldrambler and his updated stance. You don't see that very often, and it deserves respect.

Thank you, I will post and say what I think on here so I thought that I would be big enough to post when I was wrong or may have been misleading as well, if I think that I am right I will stand by my stance but when I realize that a post was taken wrong or I was mistaken I will say that as well.

January 10, 200917 yr My wife and I were on her spring break in 1997 when we were supposed to meet up with her best friend....we couldn't get a hold of him, come to find out, he died of a drug overdoese the night before.....it was awful...we are still very close with his family...I actually have a business with "his" brother in law.....it still haunts them now. This is very, very sad.....my heart goes out to Andre Young and his family...

That's horrible, I just don't understand why anyone would ever want to put poison into their body like that. So many don't recognize that it only takes one time to get them hooked or kill them. Forget that, I'll just go out for drinks with the guys.

And then they attempt to get that same high, and no matter how much they try the first time is always the best.
January 11, 200917 yr What are you talking about? I read the entire thread again and still am confused. Okay, oldrambler originally posted THIS: :thumb: Absolutely! Drug dealers should never be put back out on the street. Too many (and one is too many) get a slap on the wrist, then prohbation. They laugh at that, it means nothing to them. . Put the pieces of worthless garbage in prison for life! No chance for Paroll....Ever, let them rot. Then I responded to his post, saying: I understand where your coming from, but I just can't agree. Some 18 year old who wants quick cash and decides to sell some weed should certainly get in trouble and pay the consequences, but I wouldn't write them off immediately as being a permanent burden, incapable of going down a more righteous path. Then YOU replied to ^ saying: We're not talking about weed really, and we don't know what path his dealer took. Who are you trying to stick up for? Better yet, why are you trying to stick up for them? Let me try to make a comparison... Let's say oldrambler doesn't like bananas, and wants all bananas to be thrown into the ocean. I would not be in favor for that, because banana's aren't just about the taste. They have potassium and other contributions to society. Maybe you can throw some overly or underly ripe banana's into the ocean, but not all bananas. Thats a little excessive, IMO. ... I'm saying not all drug dealers should be locked up and have the key thrown away. A cocain dealer from Columbia who sends poor girls to America with balloons in their stomachs is MUCH more deserving of life in prison than some 18 year old college student trying to make an extra buck by selling weed to 18 year old college students who want to unwind after finals.

Well then just read the first five words of my post you just quoted and I think we'll all be squared away.:thumb:
