I would say Cov Cath is the favorite as well, but one pitcher on his game can change everything. Plus, I think Cov Cath has all the pressure on their shoulders this year. They are EXPECTED to win the 9th after being one of the favorites the last two years and everyone will be saving their ACE pitcher for them.

Don't be surprised with Dixie. They have alot more pitching than most people realize. Stansberry a Junior and Sexton a Sophmore will surprise alot of teams.

Dixie pitchers have to prove themselves at the varsity level before we can place them near the contender category.

I honestly think that Lloyd will have a solid team this year. They are returning 7 starters from a team that went 17-15 last season. Last season they had solid wins over Boone County, Holy Cross, Bellevue, and Conner...twice. Also they had some tough losses to Campbell County, Ryle, and Brossart. But the Juggernauts lose their ace this year to an injury. And pitching will be pretty thin. But with all the talent returning, I wouldn't be surprised if the Juggs aren't in the top ten at the end of the season. It's about time good baseball is being played in Erlanger. Coach Moore and his staff do their best to make sure all of their athletes play some form of summer ball, and encourage many to get into the weight room...something that hasn't been done since JT Mulligan was the Head. Also, Lloyd has a player that is going to play baseball at the next level...something else that hasn't been done in a while. Maybe Lloyd won't be able to compete with the likes of CovCath and Beechwood, but don't count them out. Anything can happen, just ask Bellevue.:p

This is true, however the little they did pitch last year at the Varsity level and Consider they pitch against alot better competition during the summer than they will ever see at High School level, I would say they will do just fine.

I believe the ommission of HHS from a top ten is the most obvious. Their pitching will include Sainola, Rosenhagen (coming off TJ surgery), Rizzo, the Daley boys to name a few. They have a strong senior group with White, Newman, Gold, etc and add in Jrs. Liggett, Dill & Watson and they will be able to contend.

Another team to consider is Newport. Throwing are the Klaas boys & Tucker. add in Sizemore, "Choppie" Jones, etc and they may surprise some.

White and Gold are good players along with Abner. Good leadership.

Not 100% on Tuck playing at Newport but I hope so...........also forgot to mention for Highlands: Oliver Head as a returning pitcher and possibly Jake Turner returning to the hill...........competition does a team good!

Not even a mention for the crusaders?
