December 22, 200817 yr My room is on the southwest corner of the house, furthest from the heater, and the most exposed. Needless to say I've broken out the space heater this evening.Be careful using that.

Honestly I can't keep it on too long, because I wear contacts,. and once my room get's above a certain temp I have to shut it off or it starts bothering my eyes. Plus it has an automatic shut off where it will do it once it's been on for a certain amount of time.

December 22, 200817 yr Soooo....at 5:30 this morning, it was FREAKING COLD! :eek: I wore 3 pairs of socks, pants, 2 shirts, a wool sweater, 3 pairs of gloves, 2 scarves, and my heaviest winter coat. I am STILL cold! :eek: I think it was something like -10 wind chill when I left the house, but those wind gusts this morning brought tears to my eyes at the bus stop. :cry:
December 22, 200817 yr I am sad FF has to work out in this cold today. I think they should say at a certain temp you can't be out. They were warning people about frostbite and all that last night on the news.

December 22, 200817 yr We have a small 1/4 acre pond in our backyard and within 2 days time it has frozen over. It usually does every winter, but it's unusual for it to happen so quickly. You may not be able to tell from the picture, but that's ice on top.
December 22, 200817 yr I have to go the the Festival of Lights tonight and am NOT looking foward to sitting out in the cold all night.
