Marvin Lewis v Dustin Dow

Featured Replies

If Marvin is still there next year, we've decided we aren't renewing our tickets....Even if he's gone, we might not, but he's far and away the worst in the league IMO.

UKMustang, you are definitely missing the boat here if you think this mess is Marvin's fault alone.

What is the one constant when Bruce Coslet, Dave Shula, Dick LeBeau, Marvin was the coach?

Guess what he is still going to be there next year and next year and the next coach will be no different.

And I say that as a person that is not a fan of Marvin's at all.

It's gotta be getting old shelling out that kind of jack for that garbage.

Not really. We've got nothing else to spend it on, so if we have a good time, why not?

Where did I ever say marvin was solely to blame?

My point is that you said if Marvin was gone you would think about reupping. If you reup, you have missed the point that Marvin is not the problem. Mike Brown is.

No, but Marvin is the name, and face of the organization in press conference's twice a week. I don't see anything, and I mean, anything wrong with the question asked. Marvin's answer was a joke, and his comment about the paper needing to send someone else down to do Dow's job sounds to me like he's trying to put a guy out of work. That's ridiculous, and talk about disrespectful.

I don't either.

Marvin should be held accountable in press conferences and the Cincy media have given him about as much of a free pass as Obama got this past election.:D;)

I don't like Marvin and hope for a new coach. Won't change a thing though as long as Mike Brown is calling the shots.

Go Steelers.

I haven't missed the point. We go to the games because we can afford to, and because we have a good time while there. (Tailgating, the other fans, etc.) That hasn't changed since we started going 3 years ago. If they aren't any good it stinks, but we still have a good time.

If that is the reason why you go, why is Marvin being the coach having any bearing in your decision to up or not next year????

BTW, that is a great reason to go to the games. Truly is and should be the reason why fans go. The fellowship and memories with their friends and families.

Because I don't like the guy. I haven't met Mike Brown. Marvin I have. He's the biggest joke of a "professional" I've ever seen.

Clifton on Saturdays is the same environment, and you get to see a winning team... ;)

Than that reasoning, I understand.

I thought you were implying that you laid the Bengals failures at Marvin's feet and you wouldn't come back if he was still leading the team. You did not indicate that it was a personal decision.

Not really. We've got nothing else to spend it on, so if we have a good time, why not?

I just never understood how watching 3 hours of godawful football is a good time? I at one time had season tickets. 10-0 at home on the way to a Super bowl. You don't know what a good time is:lol:

How was he un professional? I'm just curious...

Myself and a co-worker got into a disscussion about the Bengals the other day. He was telling me that Jim Lippincott has a lot to do with the Bengals problems. I was told that Brown brought him in with no experience just because they are good friends. I was told that he was a High School coach who became friends of the Brown family and has had no clue how to do his job for some time now. Also they have one scout and three scout consultants. What is Director of Football Operations, the Bengals version of a GM. Do you have any insight of Lippincott?

Let's put it this way. There are at least 9 guys at UC that will either get drafted or have a free agent contract in April. I have seen 3 GMs and scouts from 25 or so teams following them closely at practice and games throughout the season. I've seen the Bengals "scouting department" at one practice and zero games. 5 minutes away, and nothing.

They scout on TV. No more, no less. Beyond awful...
